ELKO Group received several awards: The best distributor in Russia & CIS territory (ELKO awarded during annual DISTREE XXL 2010 conference), the best IT distributor for PC assemblers in Russia (according business portal CRN research), etc. This year ELKO Group marked 15-year anniversary with several partners - WD, Samsung, Microsoft and Seagate.

Business reorganization takes place in Lithuania, when ELKO Grupa AS commences retail in Lithuania, ELKO Grupa AS optimizes its operation and becomes the sales office of ELKO Grupa AS in Lithuania.

To foster a common Baltic IT market, ELKO Grupa AS performs reorganization together with ELKO Eesti. Thus, the uniform ELKO Baltia logistics, IT products management and financing department is formed.

At the end of 2007, ELKO Grupa AS becomes the centre of attention in the Latvian world of business as the first Latvian company to reach a billion-USD turnover. Moreover, ELKO reaches its turnover figure – 1,000,000,000 USD – earlier than planned in the company’s business goals. Once again, the ELKO team proves its determination and result-driven persistence. ELKO becomes the largest Intel distributor in Russia.

In order to improve business efficiency and facilitate direction toward the strategic goals of  ELKO Grupa AS, ELKO Group takes over the business operation of ELKO Latvia Ltd. The company receives two Intel awards for Sales & Marketing.

ELKO Riga continues conquering the European market. To become closer to its customers, the company commences operation in Slovakia (Bratislava) – WESTech Slovakia.
In order to facilitate further development of the company, in 2000, the decision is made to change the legal status of ELKO Riga Ltd. to Joint-Stock Company ELKO Grupa AS (ELKO Group). And in order to improve sales in Latvia, ELKO Latvia Ltd. is founded.
Thanks to the persevering, highly professional and dedicated teamwork, ELKO Grupa AS gains the image of a leading IT expert in the regions where it is represented, within the first few years of operation. 

Europe is increasingly the focus of ELKO Riga Ltd. as well: subsidiary companies are opened in Rumania (Bucharest) – ELKOTech Romania – and Slovenia (Ljubljana) – ELKOTex Slovenia. Expansion simultaneously takes place in Russia, with the foundation of a new subsidiary in St. Petersburg: ELKO SPb.

In order to strengthen its business positions Eastward, ELKO Riga Ltd. also commences sales in the Ukraine (Kiev).

Distribution contracts are concluded with Sony Storage Division.

A distribution contract is concluded with Microsoft.

The company has already reached sufficiently high performance on the Baltic market in order to expand its representation region. ELKO Riga Ltd. makes the decision to start a business in Russia, and an office is opened in Moscow.

With the development of the IT market across all of Baltic States, ELKO Riga Ltd. opens subsidiary companies in Lithuania (Kaunas) – ELKO Kaunas – and Estonia (Tallinn) – ELKO Eesti. It also concludes distribution contracts with Seagate, Western Digital, Sony and Samsung.

In Riga, at the initiative of four young Latvian entrepreneurs, the company ELKO Riga Ltd. is founded, with the aim of providing Latvian retailers with then-uncommon IT products.
