Seagate - a world-class leader in the hard drive design and manufacture, has recognized ELKO - one of the leading IT product wholesalers in the Eastern Europe and the biggest companies in Latvia –as the Year 2011 best distributor in the growing markets.

Seagate “EMEA Partner Executive Council 2011” event took place at Château Hôtel Mont Royal, Chantilly, France on the 20th and 21st September 2011. The event was attended by executive partners of Seagate (from Europe, Middle East and Africa regions). At the event the Seagate presented to the audience their strategy and market trends. Participants were able to have discussions with Seagate top management and participate in round table sessions with invited guests.

During the event Seagate awarded three best distributors in different categories – among them ELKO, who won the award "Distributor of the Year 2011 (Emerging Markets)”, thus winning the Seagate product wholesaler’s status in the regions where ELKO operates: in the Baltic, Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS.

Alexander Orlov, AS “ELKO Grupa” Distribution director, informs: “The received recognition is proof that the company's ELKO goal of conquering greater shares of the market-continues to be successfully materialized. The award was presented by Mark Whitby, Vice President, Europe, Middle East & Africa and it was received by Aleksandrs Orlovs, Distribution Director of ELKO Group.
