ELKO Group JSC, the biggest company in Latvia and one of the leading IT product distributor in Eastern Europe, has appeared with company finance figures of 2007 showing significant increase and versatile development.
ELKO Group JSC sales in 2007 have increased by 47% as compared to the previous year – 2006. Such growth was encouraged by aggressive sales strategy in existing markets. Total revenue of the company in 2007 reached 1,085 billion USD. In 2007 ELKO Group JSC was the first company in Latvia whose annual turnover reached one billion USD, besides it was reached earlier than planned.
The company at present has representations in 14 cities of 9 countries. ELKO Group JSC is included in several TOPs of world leading IT product distributors – it is one of the TOP 3 distributors for „Sony” and „Intel” products, as well as one of the TOP 5 „Seagate” and „Western Digital” product distributor in all of Eastern Europe.

Last year the company successfully started business in the Ukrainian market share of Notebooks. But this year ELKO Group JSC management has decided to restructure the company’s sales structure in the Baltic market with the aim to optimise sales processes and improve client service quality in the Baltic countries ELKO. The changes have been realised for ELKO operations in Latvia and Estonia already last year and from May – the next stage for ELKO business effectiveness and optimisation in the Baltic region will be implemented.
ELKO Group JSC was founded in 1993. ELKO Group JSC is the largest company in Latvia, reaching a turnover of over one billion U.S. dollars last year. The main aspect of the company’s business is wholesale of computer equipment and electronics in the Baltic States, Central Europe and the CIS. The company represents around 70 manufacturers and sells their products to more than 6 300 retailers, local computer manufacturers and systems integrators. ELKO Group offers over 7,000 products made by the world’s best-known suppliers: „Acer”, „Intel”, „Seagate”, „Samsung”, „Sony” and „Western Digital”.
