Five countries from ELKO Group family - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, and Slovenia - joined EU on May 1st!
“We are determined to expand and will continue to grow our business in the new environment. EU will increase our competitiveness, less formalities on the borders will enable us to operate faster and our more than 10 years experience in dynamic emerging markets will allow us to successfully compete with the big European companies.” - Egons Mednis, ELKO Group President, in his interview with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
“The only problem facing ourselves and other well-established CEE companies is how to manage our exceptional growth. And that is a nice problem to have.” - Jens Hartmann, ELKO Group CEO, in his interview with IT Europa.
The other EU newcomers are Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, and Poland. This historic integration marks the reunification of Western and Eastern Europe and now EU counts 25 members.
