Starting from December 1, 2003, Jens Hartmann has joined ELKO Group as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and he will be responsible for strategic management issues. Janis Casno will continue his work as ELKO Group Chief Operational Officer (COO) and will be responsible for management of company’s daily business.
“I would like to compare ELKO Group with carefully built mechanism with a farseeing work direction,” admits ELKO Group new CEO J.Hartmann, “Strong central and regional management and a broad customer base in the countries with a constant IT market growth is the key for the future development and success.”
J.Hartmann has graduated Munich Business University, where he studied business and engineering. As a holder of Fulbright fellowship he graduated the Chicago Roosevelt University, where he studied business administration with emphasis on marketing and advertising. J.Hartmann had worked in known IT companies like Compaq Computer, Digital Equipment, Texas Instruments and has been responsible for sales and marketing, development of product distribution strategies, business restructuring and transition of operation specifics. For the last 6 years J.Hartmann has worked in Western Digital Corporation and until joining ELKO Group he was a Senior Director for Central and Eastern Europe during 4 years where he achieved a substantial revenue growth and significant market share increases.
After changes in ELKO Group management, the structure of the board will be the following: chairman of the board - Egons Mednis (ELKO Group President), board members - Jens Hartmann (CEO), Janis Casno (COO), Andris Brikshkis (Finance Director), and Ilgonis Inspeters (Marketing and Business Development Director). |
