More than 300 collaboration partners assembled in the ELKO Convention 2008

This autumn, from September 14th to 17th, the ELKO Group, one of the leading distributors of IT components and solutions in Eastern Europe, assembled together in one place, representing globally leading information technology (IT) manufacturers, developers and distributors in the resort town of Alushta, in the Crimea. This year, during the IT Business Convention organized by the ELKO Group, important anniversaries were celebrated: 15 years of the ELKO Group and 10 years of the ELKO Group subsidiary company in Ukraine.

Traditionally, once every two years the ELKO Group organizes the ELKO Convention, where members are discussing different matters related to business, sharing their experience on the development of the IT industry and drawing out a future strategy for collaboration.

This year, among the participants of the Convention was the senior management of the ELKO Group and representatives of globally leading companies of the IT industry - collaboration partners and customers of the ELKO Group - from 9 countries, totaling more than 300 participants.

"During the fifteen years of its activity, the ELKO Group has obtained broad experience both locally and internationally in the IT industry and as a result of purposeful development, has become one of the leading wholesalers of IT production in Eastern Europe. We wanted to mention the projects accomplished during those fifteen years of activity and invite our collaboration partners and customers to common discussions about the present and future situation in our industry," comments Egons Mednis, president of the JSC ELKO Group, about the aim of the Convention.

The ELKO Convention 2008 was organized with the support of long-term collaboration partners: Acer, AMD/ATI, Asus, Creative, Fujitsu-Siemens, Gigabyte, Hitachi, Intel, Logitex, MSI, Nikon, Nvidia, Samsung, Sapphire, Seagate, Sony NEC Optiarc, TomTom, Toshiba and Western Digital.
